Who we are

Massar forms part of the Syria Trust of Development, national non-profit; non-governmental organisation under the patronage of Syria’s First Lady, Her Excellency Mrs. Asma Al-Assad. The project -team was established in February 2005. Massar has created a major national learning and development program for young people in Syria using non-formal learning techniques to inform, involve and inspire young people across the entire country.

The ambitious aim is represented by Massar’s deliberate intent to reach, inspire and empower millions of young people across the length and breadth of Syria aged from 5 to 21. The vision behind Massar focuses on Syria’s future, and in particular on how the young people of today can play an active role in shaping their country and society tomorrow.
